Modern sensor solutions for warehouses and logistics halls

The high-bay sensors in the NET product family offer advanced technology for large halls and enable reliable detection up to a height of 14 metres. Molto Luce is successfully using these sensors in a logistics hall.

The high-bay sensors in the NET product range impressed Molto Luce as they offer simple, wireless commissioning and flexible grouping options. Combined with STEINEL’s tried-and-tested sensor performance, they enable efficient, bespoke lighting control and a high level of user-friendliness.

A direct comparison of the old lighting system with the new continuous lighting system highlights the clear advantages: between the shelving units, the optimised light quality ensures better visibility.

Despite having fewer luminaires, the new track-mounted system provides an illuminance of 215 lux, which is an improvement on the previous system.

The energy-saving potential is significant, depending on the design and the technologies used. Compared with the previously installed lighting system, the new lighting system in the reference project shown enables energy savings of up to 90 per cent and a reduction of up to 10,000 kg of CO₂ per year.

Satisfied customer

"The whole package convinced us. The simple operation, precise sensor technology and data readout from the system via sensor were crucial for us. The option of attaching the sensors to our products using the Zhaga interface ensures particularly easy integration and a future-proof solution for uncomplicated adaptation or replacement if needed."

SENSOTEC sensors and technologies in use

The two SENSOTEC sensors HB PIR 345 Zhaga NET and HB PIR 3360 Zhaga NET are in use.

The DALI sensors have circular 360° or rectangular detection areas – depending on the application. The devices can be set up and grouped via wireless Bluetooth mesh communication, offering customers maximum flexibility. The specially developed IR lens, combined with the high-performance PIR sensor, guarantees maximum sensor performance.

✓ Light sensor & constant light control, main and basic light continuously adjustable
✓ Wireless communication via Bluetooth Mesh
✓ DALI compatible
✓ Group configuration via app for areas, rooms or the entire building
✓ User-defined lighting groups with configurable behaviour (up to 16 DALI-2 ECGs )

STEINEL multi-lens technology is reminiscent of a fly's compound eye. It provides seamless monitoring of a hemispherical detection zone and, as an optimum lens system for motion detectors with dual/triple sensor, covers detection angles of 180° to 360°.

Wireless Connection via Bluetooth Mesh SIG

Intelligent, radio-controlled control of lights provides the framework for fully utilising the potential of LED lighting. The lights exchange information on motion detection and brightness measurement with each other, thereby ensuring efficient, needs-based lighting. STEINEL Solutions is a Bluetooth Mesh SIG Adopter Member.

Quick installation and commissioning: The wireless networking of the luminaires reduces the installation effort and makes planning easier and more flexible. The appropriate settings (e.g. dimming level) and group networking can be prepared in the Silvair web app and later in the mobile app.
