With the acquisition of the SEHO SelectLine C500 selective soldering system, STEINEL Solutions is expanding its manufacturing expertise in electronics production. The new in-line system enables the parallel processing of different product variants and combines a high degree of flexibility with efficient mass production.

Not only does the system offer a significantly higher processing speed than the previous system, but it also supports cost-effective production whilst accommodating an increasing variety of product variants. A further advantage lies in programme creation: with the help of an AI-supported tool, new programmes can be created more quickly and easily, thereby reducing set-up efforts and speeding up processes.

At STEINEL Solutions, we are constantly working to further develop our production processes and make effective use of new technologies. Automation is a key component of this.

Over the past few months, we have been able to commission robots for specific stages of various manufacturing processes across several applications. This is not merely about automating individual work steps, but above all about gaining valuable experience for future manufacturing processes and integrating innovative solutions into existing workflows.

A recent example is the integration of automated UV processes into production. Through the targeted use of robotics, we are gaining important insights for the further development of modern production methods and laying the foundations for future applications at other sites.

At the same time, the potential of automation is also evident in recurring manufacturing steps. For example, a process for the precise application of silicone has been fully automated. The result: significant time savings, consistently high process quality and a marked reduction in the workload for our staff.
