Intelligent Pico electric charging station from smart‑me

The Swiss high-tech charging station that connects directly to the cloud via Wi-Fi or mobile communications. STEINEL Solutions is a one-stop shop partner that provides advice and manufactures the complete device.

The smart-me Pico charging station is a compact, intelligent charging solution for electric vehicles with up to 22 kW charging power. It features a MID-certified smart meter that enables legally compliant, accurate billing thanks to high-precision measurement data.

STEINEL Solutions is supporting smart-me, a company founded in 2014 in Rotkreuz in the canton of Lucerne, as a one-stop shop partner on its journey from consulting to industrialisation and series production. Thanks to technological synergies (IoT) and innovative strength, a strong basis for innovative, high-quality and market-oriented products is being created.

The necessary components are procured at the Einsiedeln site, where the printed circuit boards (PCBs) are assembled using SMD and THT processes, tested and fully assembled. The finished Pico charging station is packaged and delivered directly to smart-me in Rotkreuz. Thanks to a high degree of flexibility and scalability, it is possible to respond quickly and efficiently to changing market conditions.

The charging station can be seamlessly integrated into backends, energy management systems and other third-party systems. Pico not only features efficient static load management to optimise energy use, but also offers dynamic multi-level load management for intelligent control in every building.
